Boardgame Review: Dixit

Image
A picture is worth a thousand words and we find that quite true because this game will really test your power of description. Dixit is a 3-6 player game for ages 8+. In Dixit, each player takes the role of a storyteller and during his turn he will be describing the photos he have in his hand. The game contains wonderful and whimsical artworks that are visually stimulating and will cause the player a word vomit of adjectives all throughout the game. The game starts with all the players selecting a BUNNY TOKEN of their chosen color, these bunnies will be set on the starting point of the boardgame. Each round when a player scores a point, the tokens would advance depending on the number of points each player can score. Whoever reaches 30 points first wins the game. The game begins as all the players are dealt a set of cards in their hand. All players will be dealt 6 cards each and on a player's turn, he will choose 1 picture to describe without showing the other p

Card Game Review: One Night Ultimate Werewolf - A Social Game of Deduction

Image
One Night Ultimate Werewolf is a social deduction game that can be played by 4-10 players. It is a socialization game wherein all the people in the group must be able to reason well with the others or bluff their way out of it to avoid being caught. The game is a party hit for any group who wants to enjoy blaming, finger pointing, and lying... be very careful though, you might be surprised how well your "trusted" friends can lie straight to your face. The game comes with a mobile application that you can download for free at the playstore. This app is very useful throughout the game because it provides you the voice of the digital game moderator who carefully explains to the players the actions of the cards. It will begin the game by telling all the players to CLOSE YOUR EYES as it starts to give directions to the players one by one. You can also set the timer of the app to determine how long you must solve 1 round of the game and you can also choose the number of

We have been around the boardgaming community for a quite a while now, What started as a casual game with friends ended up being a new found hobby and a handful of collection to our Library of games. We started out as casual gamers with NO ABSOLUTE IDEA about the kinds of Board games in the market. Like the others, we came to know Monopoly, Chess, or Scrabble to be the typical games that boardgamers play... not until we played One Night Ultimate Werewolf. This game totally changed our perspective about games. It's not exactly a board game but it started from there. Through this social game we became curious about the different types of games in the market and from there we started exploring more genres of games from the "party type of games" to hardcore games (which are a bit pricey but totally worth every single cent!). It took us a few months to start our little library of games from which we also discovered a new hobby... and it's Blogging. The i
